Stellenbosch you would think is just a small student town in the Winelands of the Western Cape South Africa. I have news for you. It is a student town rich in culture and entertainment with the spectacular winelands just outside town. We went on a hike at the nature reserve of Stellenbosch, which is in the mountains with a waterfall that takes your breath away. It was a steep hike and with my busted kneecap, we didn’t manage to reach the waterfall that was for us disappointed. We were on the trial for about 2 hours. After that, we left to go and have something to eat. Our pick was The Pottery Clay café was our choice. When we got there, we found it was a small café in a small street in Stellenbosch. The staff helped us immediately and they were friendly and helpful. As always, I ordered my cappuccino with a burger and fries. Needless to say, it was a huge burger, and I battled to finish it. We also chose pottery to paint mine was a duck and Angelique’s a bunny. She opted for the white, brown, and black colors while I let my inner child loose and went for all the colors of the rainbow. They said we could collect the product 2 weeks later after they glazed it. We will go back there for another visit. Our next stop was the miniature train on one of the wine farms. I did a few train rides before small and big so for me it wasn’t as wow as it was for Angelique as it was her first time on a train of any sort. I must admit I enjoyed it just as much as Angelique did. We had a few kilometers ride before we were done and decided to take the pass back to Bloubergstrand. Out of this whole experience, I would go back and do everything over again. Next on our Stellenbosch list is the wine farms where we will go see what all the wine is made of how it is made of and I as I am an adult will taste most likely one or two wines. Until next time my friends.
