Melkbosstrand Cape Town

Good morning to all of you. Our first adventure started at Melkbosstrand Cape
Town Western Cape. Though it is a small town next to Bloubergstrand, it is beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately, there are not many attractions except for the beautiful beaches where you can kite surf and swim or just stroll along the beach. I must warn you though the water is very cold. Despite the cold water, you will enjoy it there. Melkbosstrand has a lot of good and maybe not-so-good restaurants. After driving through Melkbosstrand and visiting the beach we were hungry and wanted to eat. We ended up at Melkbos Kitchen and to my surprise a different but tasteful and out-of-the-box restaurant. It was situated right next to the beach. We were helped by friendly staff and immediately seated. The price of the food is reasonable, and the menu is not your average menu. The one thing though is that when it is breakfast time you can only order from the breakfast menu. If you want to order anything else, you will have to wait till Noon. That didn’t bother us, and we had some delicious. I had a gourmet buttie which was unique and not something you get every day. Angelique with her difficult taste in food had breakfast before we went to Melkbosstrand, so she just had her Hot chocolate and a delicious chocolate cake. I had the usual BIG cappuccino. I can’t complain about the service as it was fast and friendly the food was presented good and it also tasted good. Worth another visit. There is also another Pub Restaurant that I and all 3 my kids have visited before Seafood Lapa according to my son Jeandrè has the best seafood Potjie in the world. Since it was winter when we went to Melkbosstrand we finished our food and had a scenic drive along the beach home to Bloubergstrand. Hope you enjoyed this small adventure with us. Till next time.
