Good morning. On our last long stay at Airbnb, we stayed at Coral Drive 42 Unit 25 Bloubergstrand. Our host was Walther. For the host, I will give a 2 out of 5 Star rating. For the place a 1 out 5 Star rating. On arrival, we had to go up to the 3rd floor which is not supposed to be a problem, and mind you it is not a problem. The problem was that I was recovering from a knee injury so climbing 3 flights of stairs was not easy. I loved the open-plan lounge and kitchen. Unfortunately, the kitchen wasn’t equipped fully but what I liked about it was the number of dishes and cutlery. I liked that the kitchen was open and had a lot of workspaces. Remember we were there for 1 month. The lounge had 1 very big couch which was worn out a bit. Walther though had a huge tv and for us rugby fans that was great. The view out of the lounge to Table Mountain and the sea was spectacular. A view to remember. The main bedroom was downstairs, and it was big. Unfortunately, the bed and mattress were bad, it needs to be replaced. The pillows were also not good and worn out, and also need replacement. The bathroom was not spacious at all and because I was afraid of small spaces, the shower was a big NO to me. You battle to get into the shower so for me who doesn’t like to bathe I had to bathe the whole month I was there. The upstairs room was big, and I did like it but once again the mattress and pillows were worn out and needed to be replaced. The only bad thing about the upstairs room is there are no windows that can open and no fan as well. The other No about this place was the fact that I paid winter rates for it, which was R20000-00, but the owner Walther still expected me to buy electricity which to me was the first time I had to buy my electricity at an Airbnb. That is one reason why I give Walther a 2-star. The other reason was twice that I ran out of water usage as in some places in Cape Town you use pay-as-you-go water. Twice on Sundays at night I had to get Walther to load water. The last time he was rude about it, and I decided my 4-star to Walter changed to a 2-star due to rudeness. I must add that the stay wasn’t all just bad. I loved the view and the area. My take on it, Walther shouldn’t rent it out to a family of 4, instead keep it to 2 maxima. After our stay here we started renting and for that, I don’t blog. LOL. Cape Town is an adventure waiting to be explored. Until next time.
