Exciting News: Our YouTube Channel is Live and We’re Sharing Our Spice Route Paarl Adventure

Good morning, everyone! The wait is finally over, and our YouTube channel has officially launched! 🎉 Today, we’re excited to share our latest experience: a Spice Route Paarl adventure, which also ties in with our new travel consultancy. Be sure to check out our introduction video and follow along with our journey. We hope you’ll enjoy both our website and channel from now on. But let’s get back to what we do best: exploring new places and sharing our adventures with you.

Saturday Adventure: Millers Point in Simon’s Town and More Travel Inspiration

This past Saturday, we took a much-needed break at Millers Point in Simon’s Town. The weather was perfect for cooling down, and we savored every moment of the experience. We had to leave a bit early, though, as my son Jeandrè and I couldn’t miss an important rugby match. As expected, it was well worth it!

Big News: LooseHead Website & Channel Launching Soon

In other exciting news, our LooseHead website and channel are also launching soon. Stay tuned for more updates on that!

Sunday Exploration: The Spice Route Paarl Adventure

On Sunday, my beautiful co-host Angelique embarked on yet another exciting adventure. We visited the Spice Route Paarl in Western Cape. This experience was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation—a true Spice Route Paarl adventure! The morning heat hit us early, with temperatures already soaring to 31°C at 8 am. Our first stop was the wine-tasting room, where we recorded some footage but decided to skip the wine tasting for now—it was just too early! You can explore the full experience on the Spice Route website here.

Exploring the Shops: Fashion, Spices, and Chocolate on the Spice Route

Next, we explored a charming little shop filled with everything a woman could want: clothes, jewelry, candles, and more. Afterward, we made our way to the spice shop, followed by a delightful visit to the chocolate shop. The chocolate here was absolutely worth the trip.

The Angels Treat: Ice Cream Disappointment at the Spice Route

However, not all was sweet during the day. Our visit to The Angels Treat—a homemade ice cream shop—was a bit of a letdown. The only flavors that caught our attention were the vanilla and strawberry. The other options were so unconventional that we decided to leave without trying anything.

Delicious Dining: Rosé, Pizza, and Belgian Waffles on Our Spice Route Adventure

We ended our time at the Spice Route Paarl by visiting the restaurant, where I enjoyed a refreshing Rosé and a delicious pizza, while Angelique opted for a cold drink and a Belgian waffle with ice cream. The Rosé had an interesting flavor: bitter, dry, and spicy, offering a unique twist on what we’re used to. Definitely worth another visit to explore its distinct taste. Angelique thoroughly enjoyed her Belgian waffle, especially since it was the perfect size for her appetite.

Last Stops: Candles, Chocolate, and Spice Souvenirs from the Spice Route

Before heading home, we stopped once more at the chocolate shop to buy a few treats, and we made another quick visit to the spice shop, where we couldn’t resist picking up some goodies. Angelique also bought a unique glass to add to her collection. Our final stop was the shop for women’s accessories, where we treated ourselves to some scented candles—something both Angelique and I love.

Heading Home: Scenic Drive and Planning Our Next Spice Route Adventure

By now, the temperature had reached a scorching 33°C, so it was time to head back to Bloubergstrand, where the weather is much cooler. On our way, we decided to take a scenic drive along the beautiful Cape Town coastline.

Wrapping Up: Travel Consultancy Plans Inspired by Our Spice Route Adventure

When we finally made it home, we recorded our launch video and started brainstorming ideas for our next adventure and video. It was such a fulfilling weekend, and now, we’re in full swing, preparing a fantastic travel package to launch our Eat and Sleep Travel Consultancy. Our experience at the Spice Route Paarl adventure was the perfect inspiration for what we can offer through our consultancy. We’re really looking forward to this new chapter!

Enjoy your day, everyone, and have a blessed week ahead. And don’t forget to check out our latest updates here.
